Well Wally has finally arrived Down Under (Australia). Gladstone Central State School is in a State called Queensland. Gladstone is situated at the southern end of The Great Barrier Reef on the east coast of Queensland. During Wally's visit here we hope to show you around our wonderful school and town. Wally's first day in Australia was very busy - he got to meet all of the year 4/5 students, met lots of native Australian animals & birds and joined in with the students for Track & Field training. A very exhausting day!!
It is nearly Winter here, so we are getting cold mornings here - not as cold as the weather you have for your Winter. It never snows here & gets extremely hot during the Summer months of December & January.
Our school colours are sky blue & maroon. What are your school colours?

We are glad that Wally made the long trip to Australia okay. We were if you wear uniforms at your school. Our colors at Dodge Elementary are green and gold - we're the Dodge Dragons. Sometimes we will have a school spirit day when we all wear our Dodge t-shirts, but otherwise we wear whatever we want - usually a shirt and jeans.
ReplyDeleteI am glad Wally made it to Australia. Our school colors are white and red. Our school mascot is a mustang. But we don't usually wear school apparel.We wear normal clothes, depending on the weather.

I'm so happy that Wally made it to Australia. Here in Pennsylvania it is almost June and it is rely warm. But I don't think it is as warm as how warm it is in Australia during the spring and summer.

Our school colors are red and white, and our school mascot is the mustang,like Eli said.We also don't have to wear uniforms,I like that. January & December are in the winter In Pennsylvania ,so it is very cold here when those months come around.
